Skegness was listed in the Doomsday Book
The 9th Earl of Scarborough transformed the town into a seaside resort in the 1870's.
The railway arrived in 1873.
The original Pier was completed in the late 1870's.
The Clock Tower was built in 1899.
The Jolly Fisherman enjoyed his first holiday in 1908.
Today's familiar foreshore was extensively improved and
remodelled between 1922 - 1937.
